Browse Pinterest, magazines, or interior design resources to get familiar with a range of styles and options. Ask yourself: What design styles do you like? What interiors resonate with you, what are you drawn to? Some people like using social media to save images they find inspiring. Once you have a few that you like, take note of what they have in common. Bring these notes to your consultation with your painter.
2. Identify any Existing Kitchen Features You Need to Work With
Unless you’re doing a full kitchen renovation, chances are your kitchen color will need to coordinate with existing features like the floors or countertops. As you think about your kitchen paint color, make a list of permanent features. Your flooring, backsplash and countertops, and cabinet colors should all be visually cohesive—whether they’re new or not.
